Are you looking for a bookkeeper for your small business or know of someone with a small business that needs help with their finances?

I’m a BHB local of 10 years and after another redundancy last year from a big NZ company, I want to have better job satisfaction, work from home more often and spend more time with my family.

As a qualified accountant with experience in both big and small business and I want to help make the average kiwi business work better.

I started my career with 10 years with PwC Melbourne as an Accountant (Consultant). I completed financial audits, IT application reviews and project evaluations, governance and process reviews (Risk) and Risk Framework implementation / review.

We reviewed business processes, internal controls and system controls to identify risks and issues. We reviewed applications (my specialty was SAP), how they were configured, who had access to them and how transactions were processed particularly those that fed large, or “material”, transactions in the profit & loss or balance sheet.

In 1998, I obtained my chartered accounting certificate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia. The processing and preparation of financial transactions and statements has been a constant thread of activity within my various roles since leaving PwC in 2002, working for some of NZ’s larger NZ corporates such as Telecom / Spark, BNZ, Fonterra and AIA NZ Ltd (ex-Sovereign Insurance) in a variety of capacities in the finance and technology space.

If you need help with basic bookkeeping through to complex data analysis or software selection and implementation please contact me for a confidential, obligation free discussion.
