Richard Cross bootstrapped his first company (ecoPortal) out of uni which has now grown to over 100 employees. Managing cash flow while building ecoPortal was tough—relying on error-prone spreadsheets since Xero and other apps lacked necessary features. Feeling that there had to be a better way, led him to leave his first company and build Budgee, with the mission of giving business owners peace of mind about their financial futures. Richard has Bachelors in Mechatronics, with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering on collaboration while building today’s complex products.
